Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area

Posted by John Smith on

Just outside the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park lies over 250,000 acres of pristine grizzly bear habitat known as the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area. It is one of the most densely populated areas of the entire Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. To those who adventure in the Lee Metcalf, practicing bear safety is a must, but they are rewarded with some of the most spectacular country from sea to shining sea.
